Choir Director; Creative Director
Kristi Roark saw The Sound of Music and Puccini’s Madame Butterfly as a 7th grader and was enthralled with Musicals and Opera from that point on. She performed in musical theater and opera productions during high school and college, sang in honor choirs, and competed as a soloist in UIL and NATS. After receiving her BA in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from Lamar University, she married Edwin and moved to East Texas where she continued her studies at Stephen F. Austin State University. Over the years she has taught Elementary Music as well as directed Sweepstakes Award Winning Middle School and High School Choirs. She loves every minute of developing our Creator’s amazing Gift of Song in the hearts of her students. Seeing them shine onstage is one of her greatest joys. In 2017, she was honored to be awarded TAPPS 3A Fine Arts Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching 4th and 5th grade Music at RRCA since 2014, as well as directing Joyful Sounds and High Call Choirs.
Brandy Johnson ~
Choreographer; Development Coordinator
Mrs. Johnson began dancing at the age of 2. Growing up, she danced locally with the Texas Youth Ballet at Austin Dance Academy, with the Austin Conservatory of the Arts and also with the Austin-based professional dance company, Tapestry. She has taught multiple forms of dance throughout her life and is very excited to be the choreographer for this year's Spring Show. In addition to working creatively on the past three Spring Shows, she has been an RRCA parent since 2001 and is in her 10th year of employment at our school. She currently is a Development Coordinator and assists in RRCA's fundraising efforts, coaches Varsity and MS Cheer and directs the YELL CRU.
Stephanie Severson ~
Stephanie Severson has been a part of the RRCA family since 2003 as a parent, a volunteer, and administrative support person. She began her career directing for all aspects of fundraising in 2012. Organizing events is a fun and exciting challenge that she is always up for and she has been successful for many years working on the various RRCA events- especially the Annual Fund Gala. Being a part of the first ever Spring Show fundraiser has been a joyous change and one that she takes great pride in being a part of.
