Kristi Roark~
Choir Director; Creative Director
Kristi Roark saw The Sound of Music and Puccini’s Madame Butterfly as a 7th grader and was enthralled with Musicals and Opera from that point on. She performed in musical theater and opera productions during high school and college, sang in honor choirs, and competed as a soloist in UIL and NATS. After receiving her BA in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from Lamar University, she married Edwin and moved to East Texas where she continued her studies at Stephen F. Austin State University. Over the years she has taught Elementary Music as well as directed Sweepstakes Award Winning Middle School and High School Choirs. She loves every minute of developing our Creator’s amazing Gift of Song in the hearts of her students. Seeing them shine onstage is one of her greatest joys. In 2017, she was honored to be awarded TAPPS 3A Fine Arts Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching 4th and 5th grade Music at RRCA since 2014, as well as directing Joyful Sounds and High Call Choirs.
